Woodward Outdoor Equipment was founded over 30 years ago, when owner Chris accomplished a lifelong goal of starting and owning his own business.

Born and raised on his father’s farm right here in Middletown, Chris had spent his upbringing accumulating an extensive working knowledge of equipment servicing and repairs.

After working for Carey’s Diesel, expanding his skillset and learning the ins and outs of running a business, Chris knew it was time to set out on his own and with a helping hand from his father and the unwavering support and efforts of his wife, Susan—three weeks after the birth of their first son—he dove in head first and Woodward Outdoor Equipment opened its doors for the very first time more than 30 years ago.

Today, the business is still run by Chris with the help of his two sons, Nick and Noah. For three decades, Woodwards has had the immense fortune to grow alongside the community and not only watch the town grow, but to grow right with it. Everyone here at Woodward Outdoor Equipment is honored to be a part of this community and look forward to many more decades of serving you.
